The Location
Situated in the High Peak - the village of Chelmorton at 1200ft above sea level - is not surprisingly one of the highest villages in Derbyshire, just lies 4 miles south-east of Buxton and is ideally located to explore the stunning surrounding countryside. It is overlooked by Chelmorton Low – from which Illly Willy Water runs down through the village.
The village has a great pub just a few minutes walk from the cottage called The Church Inn, which serves traditional ales & foods. There’s also a small playground, phone box and bottle bank.
